Tae Kwon Do in America...Please translate...
Yes, I do speak Korean very well. In fact, my Korean is better than English. However, I cannot type Korean. I am 29 years old and I do not practice Tae Kwon Do anymore simply because I am working full time now. I would love to go back to Tae Kwon Do someday.
From my experience, the typical Judo or Jujitsu fighters try to fight from a pretty close distance. Most of time, I was able to kick their face before they could aproach close enough. If you have experience in Tae Kwon Do sparring, you should know the situation and distance when certain kick works better than other kicks. The reason Tae Kwon Do atheletes use roundhouse kick most often in competition is because it covers most distance, it is fast, and also powerful. The ones I find most effective against judo or jujitsu guys were push kicks and axe kicks. I strongly believe if world class Tae Kwon Do athlete competes in UFC or other martial arts, he wouldnt have much problem winning.
